Peter Robinett (that’s me, the Dev Camp organizer!) will discuss developing websites for mobile devices, particularly the iPhone. Topics will include layout, accessing hardware information, and optimization.

Mobile Human-Computer Interaction

Henriette Cramer, a Human-Computer Interaction researcher at the University of Amsterdam, will talk about fundamental issues within HCI and how they apply to mobile systems. We’ll take a step back from day-to-day design decisions and instead take a look at current higher-level research themes, such as user experiences within context and affective and persuasive computing.

Joris Kluivers, author of several iPhone apps, will walk you through writing your first iPhone application.

Objective-C Essentials

Cathy Shrive is a long-time Mac programmer and cover the essentials of the language and the Cocoa environment.

3D Games for iPhone with Javascript

Vincent Verweij will explain how you can make a real 3D game with the Unity Game Engine, using Javascript or C#.

Introduction to Android Application Development (presentation)

Diego Torres Milano will give a workshop on the basics of Android app development, with a particular emphasis on test-driven development.

Getting the Most Out of the Android Platform

Christine Karman will discuss the UI tools and Java libraries available for developing on Android.

Rapid Symbian Development with MobilePython (presentation)

Arjen Broeze will create a MobilePython app live on his Nokia E90. NOTE: This workshop will be on Sunday.
Arjen was sick so Mike Bradshaw jumped in to give us a quick overview of PyS60.

The Future of Symbian

Robert Harmsen will present some new features and future of Symbian OS, explaining the Symbian Foundation, and give us an idea about worldwide revenues for all platforms.
